Texas Ebony Block TE-563 1.75" x 1.75" x 7.8"Texas Ebony Block TE 563 1. 75" x 1. 75" x 7. 8" 1 lbs. This is a beautiful piece of Texas Ebony heartwood. We've cut it into spindles of 1 3 4" across and almost 8" long. The grain on this piece is long and straight, with swirls around small and infrequent burl buds. There is a sliver of creamy colored sapwood along one edge; it does not penetrate far into the block. We have air dried this Texas Ebony log for 5+ years. Moisture content is 10 12%.

Texas Ebony Block TE-563 1.75" x 1.75" x 7.8" 1 lbs. This is a beautiful piece of Texas Ebony heartwood. We've cut it into spindles of 1 3/4" across and almost 8" long. The grain on this piece is long and straight, with swirls around small and infrequent burl buds. There is a sliver of creamy colored sapwood along one edge; it does not penetrate far into the block. We have air-dried this Texas Ebony log for 5+ years. Moisture content is 10-12%. Janka hardness is 2820 lbf. Density is 80 lb/ft3. This wood is very dense and hard, one of the hardest available in North America. The finished products are exquisite. This block has some very minor end-grain checking (see close-up photo) and two cracks that penetrate into the heartwood. You will likely want to use CA glue to stabilize the cracks prior to turning. We've discounted this block because of the cracks. |

Not as small as described

Was disappointed with this product , as the reason for me ordering this product was so that I could gift to my little 6pound yorkie in an Easter basket , considering that my pet preference is SMALL balls and these were pretty much an average size ball. So she didn’t get much enjoyment out of them. Price was very fair , but money wasted overall because she doesn’t play with them.

So Far So Good
I adopted a young adult dog less than 2 weeks ago. She had spent over 12 hours a day in a crate and has excessive energy and anxiety built up. She is a strong chewer. So far, out of 6 toys, this is the only one still in one piece. It appears sturdy and extra bouncy. So much better than regular tennis balls.
