Whist travelling the plains of East Africa in the 1920s, Liberty buyer William Hayes Dorell discovered curious cotton fibers close to Lake Tana that sparked his imagination. Back on home soil, the silk-like threads were spun into lustrous form, screen printed with brilliant ink, and turned into a material that would change the textile industry forevermore.

Beautifully presented hand made Lavender hearts in a lovely presentation box. Handmade in England from the timeless Liberty of London fabric Tana Lawn Cotton and filled with lavender from Provence France. Lavender is a lovely chemical free way to keep the critters at bay and keep your linen and clothing smelling fresh. It is also supposed to help you sleep. The Hearts make wonderful gifts and are the perfect little something to show somebody that you love or are thinking of them. The drawer scenters come in a presentation box, so are easy to wrap and send in the post.

I did see some were complaining about what happens when you dry it, it basically looks like it melted but really just gets all matted. This happens with most blankets and other items like this. I can say I learned the hard way when I purchased my very first fuzzy blanket a few years ago and washed and dried it immediately only to have an unusable mess come out of the dryer. Since then I wash on gentle and dry mine on air dry with absolutely no heat and have had no problem at all.
