Before applying to hat, spray on test paper or cloth for 3 5 seconds until liquid spray is white.

Allow to dry for 5-10 minutes until surface turns white. Remove powder thoroughly with a light colored hat brush. Repeat if necessary. Follow up with an application of Gard-More Water & Stain Repellent. Repeat if necessary. Pre-treat all new hats with Gard-More to prevent stains and water damage.
