Customer Comments:
"I have made a couple of bags with the Soft and Stable and I am so impressed with the body it gives to the bags shape without adding a lot of weight. For those of us that make handbags, one of the greatest challenges is finding something to fortify the bags shape and I think your product is definitely a fabulous step in the right direction. Thank you." Connie G.

"Soft and Stable is a great product. I made a purse and it is perfect and the stability great." Lois C.

"I cant tell you enough how much I love the Soft and Stable. I have been sewing for many years and got on to handbags in the last few years but have never seen a finished bag looking as good until using Soft and Stable." R. D.

"I created my own patterns for purses and inserts, etc., and really did not think your Soft and Stable product would work. I was pleasantly surprised because I no longer need to use heavy, hard to sew stablizers - but can go to your product. I have a Bernina and a Viking and recently purchased a very heavy duty Singer for the tough work and to preserve my "good" machines and thanks to your inventive genius, I no longer need to rely so heavily on the (ugh) Singer. My purses are one-of-a-kind art projects and I love the creative process and am not so fond of the construction, so you have made my life much easier with Soft and Stable. Thank you, Annie!" J. H.

Sweet Romance
Format: Paperback
This was a sweet love story between two women who are both dealing with some baggage, and figuring out what moving forward looks like. I enjoyed both of the characters and their chemistry. Also really enjoyed the supporting characters, including the animals. Listening to the audiobook, there were some moments where I had to stop and figure out which character was narrating because the voices didn’t sound distinct enough. This only happened a few times, and probably wouldn’t have occurred if I’d been reading the physical copy. Overall, a sweet and enjoyable romance with some depth and great side characters.

Adorable!
Format: Paperback
This book was completely adorable. I loved Thea and Courtney’s story, and the background from the unlikely animal friends to Colin Firth Pride and Prejudice references. Whilst a little turbulent at times with traumatic backstories, I’m glad they got their GHEA, and I loved their journey, and secondary and tertiary characters along the way. It made me smile when I was in a place of exhaustion, so I really loved it.

Not great but not bad!
Format: Audiobook
I loved the audio and I'm so glad there were two narrators! I really loved the deconstruction rep in this book. It spoke to me in ways that felt real and authentic. I also liked the way the migraine/chronic illness was handled as well. The reason this is a 3 star to me is that I can't remember the characters names and I just finished this book. The first 50% was pretty forgettable. It was hard for me to get into that first half. The second half however, I really enjoyed! Courtney and Thea (yes I did just have to look up their names) could have used more fleshing out. Courtney's ex's threats felt like a nothing burger in the end and Courtney's running also didn't hit quite like I wish it had. The last 50% things finally get moving. These characters finally start sharing with each other and being open and vulnerable but there is still a big secret that get revealed that throws a wrench into the whole thing. Overall I did enjoy it!

Four and a half stars for this sapphic romance
Format: Paperback
I’m giving this book four and a half stars. There was a lot I really loved about it. The banter between the main characters is lovely, and there were several scenes that are just adorable. They’re complex characters though with their flaws and histories. They have depth. And how they react in a situation isn’t how you might react, but it’s right for that character. It felt truthful and in many ways relatable. I’ve got enough religious trauma that I can definitely relate, and although I’ve never been a catholic, I have what I think of as catholic guilt…in that I feel guilty for cutting my family out of my life despite the death threats, hateful comments, and constant hit my self esteem and mental health takes. I can even understand hiding physical health issues, because people definitely do treat you differently, also there’s trauma that goes back there too. I loved the play of the word stars used in the title, and how it fits both main characters so well. It’s super clever. I know some people were disappointed at this story, and I have to say that it left me going into the book feeling down about it, but instead I really enjoyed it (minus the breakup/not breakup). The ending was incredibly satisfying for me.

Entertaining
Format: Kindle
At first glance, Andie Burke’s With Stars in Her Eyes might seem like just another lighthearted romance, but it offers far more than shy smiles and meet-cute banter. This is a story built in layers, and readers will relish uncovering each one. Beneath its charm and swoon-worthy chemistry lies a thoughtful, emotionally resonant exploration of identity, vulnerability, and the courage to embrace second chances. Quick-witted, tender, and irresistibly romantic, With Stars in Her Eyes shines with both humor and heart. The story’s greatest strength lies in its characters, two women shaped by their resilience, history, and courage. Burke writes Courtney and Thea with such empathy that their inner lives feel as vivid as their love story. Courtney, once a celebrated cellist, carries the weight of chronic illness and public disappointment. Despite her setbacks, she’s learning to trust her body—and herself—again. Thea, a piercer and photographer rebuilding her life after burnout, searches for inspiration to reignite her creative spark. When their paths cross, their connection feels less like coincidence and more like fate—two people meeting at the exact moment they’re ready to be seen. Their relationship unfolds as a quiet kind of healing, an emotional duet where each helps the other find her rhythm again. Burke captures that process with tenderness and truth, reminding readers that love isn’t about fixing what’s broken; it’s about growing through the cracks together. Beyond her skill with character development, Burke proves herself a confident storyteller who knows how to turn tropes, tension, and structure into driving forces rather than predictable shortcuts. She takes these familiar romance conventions and transforms them into genuine sources of momentum and emotional depth. The meet-cute alone—a bearded dragon, a burst of chaos, and instant chemistry—sets the tone perfectly. It’s quirky, funny, and unforgettable. From there, Burke builds in the tension of a secret-identity plot. After her career implodes onstage during a terrifying migraine, Courtney retreats from the public eye to reinvent herself. But her carefully guarded anonymity is at risk, and that fear of being found out adds delicious suspense to her growing connection with Thea, who’s searching for her own sense of belonging. Dialogue is another strong suit for Burke. The banter between Courtney and Thea feels effortless; it’s quick, clever, and full of unspoken emotion. Each exchange lands with that perfect mix of humor and hesitation, as if the characters are circling truths they’re not quite ready to say aloud. Burke strikes a graceful balance between wit and vulnerability, allowing moments of reflection to surface naturally. Nothing feels staged or heavy-handed; it’s all quietly sincere. Additionally, her prose is lush without being overdone, capturing atmosphere and intimacy in equal measure. Most striking, though, is how Burke understands that love doesn’t erase pain; it reshapes it, softening the edges and showing that healing often unfolds alongside joy. What really makes With Stars in Her Eyes resonate, though, is its depth of feeling. Burke quietly knits it into the story, not just through the external drama but the quiet, personal battles that define her characters. Courtney’s struggle with chronic illness and the lingering sting of public failure feel heartbreakingly real, and her journey toward self-acceptance is handled with such compassion that it’s impossible not to root for her. Thea’s story, too, carries its own weight; her fight to rekindle her creative spark and believe in herself again mirrors the vulnerability of starting over. When these two women meet, their connection feels like a kind of healing in motion: messy, honest, and profoundly human. Burke finds beauty in that process, showing that love doesn’t make the past disappear but softens it. In the end, it gives both women the courage to move forward and rediscover who they are. Final remarks… Ultimately, With Stars in Her Eyes isn’t just a cozy romance; it’s a tale of love, healing, and starting anew. Through her tender yet fresh storytelling, Burke invites readers to find beauty in rediscovering joy after heartbreak. The result is an emotionally rich, deeply satisfying story, perfect for readers who crave meaningful happily ever afters. Strengths… Effective use of romance tropes Storytelling filled with emotional depth and relatability Well-developed characters Rich character history Character chemistry Engaging tone and style Smooth pacing Inclusion of deeper themes Witty and engaging dialogue
