Gatefold LP (white vinyl) with padded inner sleeve, and protection sleeve. SILENCE IN THE SNOW are one of the few bands today that combine the classic spirit of dark wave and post-punk with emotional musical intelligence. The American duo has in the meantime relocated from Oakland to Arcata in the North of California, a town situated at the picturesque Arcata Bay that opens into the Pacific Ocean, and surrounded on land by national parks and Redwood forests. This move might in part explain why their third album "Ghost Eyes" comes with a warm, organic sound and rich sonic textures. "Ghost Eyes" carries a musical wisdom and maturity that makes the melodic, dreamy, expansive, and immersive songs on the album stand out well defined against a stylistic background that exists in a space between dark wave, post-punk, and alternative rock. There is a pinch of THE CURE, JOY DIVISION, SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES, THE MISSION, and even KILLING JOKE. The interplay between Cyn M and drummer Trevor DeSchryver, who has credits from WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM and DEAFHEAVEN among many others to his name, is creating pure musical magic that gives acoustic form to the duo's vision to capture a spiritual and temporal awakening that occurs as a result of all the challenges, obstacles, and trauma experienced on "Ghost Eyes". When Cyn M emerged with the self-released SILENCE IN THE SNOW debut "Break In The Skin" onto the Californian scene in 2016, the album offered a deliberately minimalist palette of sound with a clear focus on the emotional side of music. Rave reviews and word of mouth spread as far as across the Atlantic, but instead of resting on her laurels, Cyn M rather dared to venture into new sonic dimensions by adding real organic drumming to the sophomore full-length "Levitation Chamber" (2019). With their third album, the Californian duo have arrived where they want to be: "Ghost Eyes" is the defining album and the creative ground from which SILENCE IN THE SNOW will reach new emotional heights.

Very functional, and lots of fun for little kids. Gentle enough for their skin, too.
Color: Frog&strawberry
These are so awesome. Two of them come in a box. There's a frog one and a strawberry one. They are inside individual zip lock bags inside the box. There's a scrubbie/loofa (not a natural one, just the plastic webbing type) on one side, and cloth-covered plushie/sponge on the other side that is the strawberry/frog. My granddaughter loves them. She can use them to clean and scrub herself, just like a big girl, but with a fun sponge/scrubby that she likes, so she always knows that there's a special one that is just hers. They absorb plenty of water and soap, and are good for cleaning their whole body. They are just the right size to fit in an adult hand, so a little big for solo use by a little hand, but there are plenty of bits to grab onto on either side, so it's not hard for a little kid to hang onto them. The loofah/scrubby side is well made, although it will become big and loose as those things always do if you pull on them too much. The sponge/toy side is very soft, and definitely gentle enough for a small child's skin. My only dislike is the small loop for hanging it on a hook in the shower. The little loop is just tiny and hard to separate, so it's difficult to get it onto a hook so it can hang and dry out in between uses. It would have been very easy to make the loop longer and more functional, so I'm not sure why they didn't. Other than that one, minor inconvenience, this is a great product.

Adorable scrubbie
Color: Turtle&bunny
Durable sponge made with quality material. Great value for price, soap lathers well and no signs of wear and tear after using for a month. Not too rough on the skin, plus you can’t beat the adorable turtle design

Super Cute! Stuffing Seems to Poke Out
Color: Frog&strawberry
These kids bath sponges are super cute! My daughter loves the strawberry one. It's soft, and well made, and doesn't irritate her skin. The size is just right for little hands, and they seem to be holding up well so far. One thing I noted is that some of the stuffing seemed to be poking out when I first opened it, but it came off easily and doesn't seem to be getting worse.

Great work on the recent history of strategic studies and strategy in practice.
Format: Kindle
While not perfect, certainly one of the best works on strategy I've read recently and possibly the best work on post-1945 strategic history I've read in a while. Two main flaws or issues of contention: Strachan's critique of civil-military relations is at times lucid, but at other times appears to come slightly off the rails. Second, the books origin as a (much altered and added too) collection of articles shows through in the many areas which it doubles back on itself covering ground previously well trodden, at times this is done to build on previously mentioned ideas, at other times it seems overly repetitive. On the whole it is an excellent assessment and critique of the recent history of Strategic Studies as a field, as a historian I find many of his disciplinary critiques of the history/IR balance quite convincing, but I suppose I'm biased.
