This petite stoneware studio pottery lamp with incised and textured horizontally striated pattern was produced by noted Vermont potter Nancy Wickham (Boyd) for Design Technics. The shade, while not original, echoes the striations on the body of the lamp perfectly. The lamp's dimensions are 12" (to the top of the socket) by 4.5" in diameter at its widest point. Assembled, the lamp and shade together measure 17" in height.

NANCY WICKHAM was a Vermont based ceramics artist and potter.  She studied her craft at the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University in Alfred, New York, in the mid 1940s, and subsequently established a studio and shop in Woodstock, Vermont, where she produced mainly functional ceramics.  She first showed her work in 1946 at the famed Ceramic National exhibition at the Syracuse Museum of Fine Arts, showing there again in 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950, 1951, 1955, and 1958.

In the 1950s Wickham met and began working with Lee and Samuel Rosen who invited her to create ceramic lamp bodies for their newly established company, DESIGN TECHNICS.  Throughout the 1950s and 1960s she produced many important pieces for the Rosens while she continued to sell her own signature style of functional and decorative pottery from her Vermont storefront.  Examples of Wickham's work are included in the permanent holdings of the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse, New York, and are represented elsewhere in public and private collections.

Very cute! High quality denim.
I'm just gonna be honest with you ladies. These look and fit best on someone with a flat stomach, or more defined waist. Otherwise it is going to be hard to find a balance of how they slouch on the waist and the right amount of baggy. I'm 5'2, 150lbs, and the 27 fits me perfect and falls about 1 1/2 inch below my belly button. The length was perfect either straight with my Converse, or cuffed with my sandals.
